    Description

    For your consideration is a rare and important hand-signed royal certificate of appointment (Appointment) of Ludwig III. (1806-1877), Grand Duke of Hesse and the Rhine (Hessen-Darmstadt).
    Karl Bücking, district judge at the Laubach district court, is transferred to the Butzbach district court in the same position. His salary is 1500 guilders a year.
    Karl Bücking (1809-1866) was a Hessian lawyer and politician (1859-62 member of the 2nd Chamber of Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse).
    Dated: Darmstadt, 10. November 1857.
    Signed of Grand Duke Ludwig III., with countersignature by the Minister of Justice Friedrich von Lindelof (1794-1882).
    With a paper-covered seal. On 9 guilder stamp paper.
    Scope: one written on four sides (33 x 20 cm).
