    very nice restored 100% original California license plate.  1938 issue; number UR 1286.  unemployment relief issue.  these plates were a variant of the Public Service type, issued to agencies who were involved in relief during the Great Depression.  14x6 inches; black legend on yellow background.  plate is completely straight and flat and has been restored to the correct colors and finish.
