Part of the risk involved when buying any used waterproof
detector is basically 'sand-freeze.'
This happens when the former owner left the detector
shaft at a fixed-length and never took it apart to clean
the sand out from between the mating surfaces.
As a result, soon, the detector shaft will lock-up and it will not come apart!

Notice; this water hunter is using corded headphones. The transmitter for
the wireless headphones is in the control housing. This means when the
control housing goes underwater, the wireless signal is lost.
The AT MAX has a waterproof headphone jack, and both the corded land headphones,
and the fully waterproof AT PRO headphones will hook up!
