The Allegro A4988 DMOS microstepping driver features cross current protection, thermal shutdown circuit protection, ground connection short circuit protection, load short circuit protection, and cross current protection.
Translation is the key to easily implementing the A4988. Simply input a pulse on the STEP input to drive the motor a microstep.
