    Description

    Augustus III
King of Poland and Lithuania, and Elector of Saxony
    Authentic Manuscript Document, 1738
Up for auction is an authentic original manuscript document of Augustus III (1696-1763), King of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and Elector of Saxony. The document is written in German. It bears the King's embossed paper seal with the coat of arms of Poland, Lithuania and Saxony. It was written on 23 September, 1738. It has a number of notations and the date 2 November 1738 in another place of the document. It also has the name Dolitz at several locations. Dolitz is the name of a city in the Saxony region of Germany. Size of the unfolded document: 13" x 15-3/4" (app. 33 cm. x 40 cm.).
This is a beautiful historic document that should frame very nicely. I have not translated it since I do not read German. But it would be interesting to know what it is all about.
    Condition:
Slight age-toning. A number of folds, but otherwise in very good condition for its age.
