    Description

This listing is for an authentic US military photograph as shown. Please see the images of the actual item above for a better idea of the condition.
The photo is of a Douglas AD-6 Skyraider attached to Attack Squadron 176 (VA-176) known as the Thunderbolts. The AD-6 was reclassified as the A1-H after 1962. VA-176 operated the AD-6 from 1955 - 1967 with three combat deployments to Vietnam. In fact, two AD-6 Skyraiders from VA-176 successfully engaged and shot down a North Vietnamese MiG-17, a jet fighter.
This photograph is from the collection of a retired United States Navy captain. He collected a vast array of USN memorabilia. We are currently listing a large number of 8x10 photographs of planes, aircraft carriers, battleships, destroyers, cruisers, submarines, support ships, sailors and weapon systems.

Notes About the eBay Photos & Condition
Overview photos that include the ruler are the best representation of the true colors of the paper and photos. These were taken under daylight balanced lighting.
However, the natural curling of the photo and its glossy surfaces frequently caused shiny spots and other losses of detail when photographed. So we have also included partial computer scans of the photograph to better show the details. These images are better at showing the quality of the image, but are not color corrected.
The photo may have been trimmed, pasted to a scrapbook, hung on the wall with staples or pushpins, torn, scuffed, stained, bent or had other abuses inflicted upon it. For a better understanding of what color shifts, paper discoloration, or paper damage may exist, refer to only the images with the ruler in them.
We also scanned the captions on the back of the photos (where available.) We adjusted the black levels on the caption photos (only) to provide a more legible caption.
If you have any questions or concerns, please ask before buying. We can provide additional photos or computer scans if needed.
    Shipping
Buyer pays for postage which includes tracking and substantial protective wrapping. This is included in the purchase total. I normally ship USPS First Class, but additional shipping options are available when you purchase. I happily combine shipping if you purchase multiple items.
