This is a used but original BMW part - Front, Left, Steering Knuckle - (wheel carrier, Part 31 21 1 096 495) pictured - for BMW E39, 535i, 540i sedan or wagon, M5 (all production years from 1997-2003). Knuckle includes brake backing plate mounting screws (none stripped), 2 of 3 bushings (missing 1 sleeve), and one ABS pulse generator mountion screw.
If your 97-03 5-series came factory with and 8 cylinder engine, this is the wheel carrier you need. Complete tear down your wheel carrier and rebuild.
