Here are two gilded sterling silver coronation
anointing spoons and a medal created
to celebrate the coronation of
KING EDWARD VIII
Before the coronation, the King abdicated
the throne and his brother, Prince Albert,
was crowned as King George VI
on 12 May 1937.
Each spoon bears the following hallmarks:
W&W  =  WAKELY & WHEELER
A  =  1936
LEOPARD  =  LONDON
LION PASSANT  =  STERLING SILVER
Also included is a ribboned medal bearing
the King's image and a commemorative
statement on the reverse.
******  EXCELLENT CONDITION  ******
Each spoon measures 4-1/8 inches long.
They are in excellent patinaed condition.
The medal measures 1-1/2 inches in diameter
and has surface scratches.
Its ribbon is separated at its top
where the pin would have been.
