    Description

    We are all accustomed to seeing Coronation items regarding Queen Elizabeth II.  So, this was a treat to find something prior to that. On the reverse of the cup is the Latin motto: TID DEF IND IMP which is an abbreviation of the "qualifications" (as it were) - meaning King of all the Britons,  Defender of the Faith, and Emperor of India.  Always something new to discover and think about.  Thanks for looking at my auction.
