Original Race Fan License Plate Topper, Reflective Textured Paint, 1940 Ford, The Real Deal !!
1.  This is an authentic "Race Fan" topper with the textured reflective glass particles in the paint.  This paint is also known as "Smaltz."
2. The image of the car has the "wind stream" graphics showing the car in motion. This original topper has all the fine details such as the nose on the driver and the vertical bars on the front grill of the car which you don't find on the reproductions.
3. The back of this topper is the correct raw aluminum with the name of the manufacturer "Advertising Plates Co., Toledo, Ohio."  The last photo is enhanced to show the stamping of the manufacturer more clearly.
4. This topper has not been installed on a vehicle.
5. Look out for the cheap porcelain reproductions of this sign on this website.  The copies do not have reflective textured paint, do not have the extra details in the graphics, and are not made of aluminum.
