#9 Teapot - King Edward VII & Queen Alexandra Stokes On Trent Trade Bros England. Condition is "Used".
Teapot has the images of Queen Alexandra and King Edward VII as well representative flags.

History: I believe my mother got this from my grandmom in England. My grandmother lived near Staffordshire, England. The interesting thing about this tea pot is the date. It says June 26,1902, which was the original date of coronation but since King Edward VII developed appendicitis that day, the coronation never took place and was rescheduled for August 1902. I am basing this off of my research. Please do your own as well. I cannot find another tea pot like this to compare it to. This pot also has the #9 marked on the bottom making it the 9th one created I presume. Since this contains the wrong coronation date, I believe this was a piece created for the coronation before the king got appendicitis. There is also a “v2” on there so this may be one of two versions made for the event. I found the potters mark on thepotteries.org and the mark is dated c1890-1900. I am not an appraiser or antique expert.
Condition: There is a slight chip on the spout. See image of this in pictures. pre-owned with minor normal wear. There is a little normal aging wear on the front images of the king and queen, but other than that, the piece appears to be in great shape. After second look, the spout has tea stain in there like it needs a gentle cleaning with the right tools. From smoke free and pet free home. Please review all pictures. Product Size: approx. 4-1/4 inches tall at highest point, and approx 8-3/4 inches wide when measuring from spout to handle.
