    HRM Queen Elizabeth ll's Silver Jubilee (1952-1977)
    commemorative woven bookmark.
    The bookmark is woven in shades of blue and multi-colored metallic threads. lt is in
    excellent unused condition. 2" wide x 9.25” (including tassel). The cover has some wear
    from transcontinental travel. 4" wide x 10.75" Cover inside left is Poet Laureate John
    Masefield’s
    Lines on the Coronation of Our Gracious Sovereign

    from the weaver: “This bookmark has been specially designed and woven to
    commemorate the Silver Jubilee. The same skills and techniques used to produce our
    miniature woven pictures are used in the production of this bookmark. Two thousand
    two hundred and twenty jacquard cards are needed to weave the design and each
    bookmark takes half-an-hour to weave. The Victorian artform of miniature silk pictures
    and bookmarks known as
    Stevengraphs
    and eagerly collected by connoisseurs is now
    carried on by J. & J. Cash - sole survivor of a distinguished line of Coventry weavers."
