    Description

I have a used Tesoro uMax Diablo gold metal detector nugget prospecting for sale. The clear plastic on the faceplate on the right side is starting to peel. Unit has been tested with gold nugget card in picture (NUGGET CARD NOT INCLUDED) and responded to it clearly. Very rare detector that doesn’t come up for sale very often. Comes with original 6x10 elliptical wide scan coil and instruction manual. Uses a single 9 volt battery and shares the same 4 pin coils as the lobo ST, Vaquero, Cibola and Tejon. This machine has the hot rock mode, a feature that can help aid in the identification of hot rocks. I think Dave Johnson helped develop the hot rock adjust feature on this machine. The hot rock adjust is a one turn knob that is activated by the hot rock toggle switch (to turn it on). It transfers the ground balance from the 3 3/4 ground knob to the hot rock knob. Kind of like a wider ground adjust (covers a wider range of minerals). You can use the hot rock mode for very difficult (low in iron mineralization or high in salt or wet alkali) ground that you can’t ground balance with the regular ground 3 3//4 turn GB. You can the hot rock adjust to help to identify hot rocks and to see through them. To use this feature flip toggle switch to hot rock mode, then set the hot rock adjust knob to zero, set the coil next to the spot that sounded off. Push the pinpoint button and hold it as raise the coil the audio tone will become louder then move the coil over the rock or whatever your checking and if the audio tone vanishes it’s a hot rock if the tone does not vanish then release the button raise the coil about 4 inches above the rock or whatever your checking and push the pinpoint button and hold it. As you lower the coil to the spot where the rock is and the audio tone gets louder it may be gold or some type of metal, if the sound vanishes the object is still not identified. Effective use of the Hot rock mode requires skill and practice and no matter how good you get with it you will still dig some hot rocks. Don’t really want to sell it but I just don’t get out and prospect anymore these days. Shipped USPS Priority Mail. No international shipping so please don’t ask. Look at all the pictures before buying. If you have any questions please ask before buying.
