The Crown of Eric of Sweden is part of the Miniature Crown Jewel Collection created and designed by Nicholas & Susan Findeisen, the original owners of Crowns & Regalia, Ltd and is entirely hand made by skilled artists using the finest materials. Each piece is hand cast in high quality Pewter, then richly 22ct. Gold or Sterling Silver plated, hand polished, set with minute Austrian Crystal stones and/or hand enamelled and finished, and comes in its original box.
The History of the Original:
Eric XIV was the eldest son and successor of Gustave Wasa, the founder of the Swedish Dynasty. Eric became King of Sweden in 1560 and had this wonderful crown made for his coronation. After a disastrous reign, he was deposed in 1569, and poisoned in 1577 by his brothers. Since this time the crown has always been used for the coronations of Swedish monarchs.
