Rare, vintage estate find - this is a set of 18 different B&W 8x10" photographs from the Chief of the Bureau of Aeronautics (U.S. Navy) Utility Squadron Seven Photographic Laboratory. Originally stamped "RESTRICTED" on the back, there is updated markings and signatures stating the set was no longer listed as such in October of 1945. The original stamps were printed in July of 1945. This set highlights various areas of training for the SC-1 Seahawk Scout Seaplane designed by Curtiss Aeroplane and Motor Company for the United States Navy. All 18 photos are shown in the photo gallery of this listing. This set was found in a photo album buried in a local estate, and the pictures have held up well to decades of storage. We will NOT consider splitting the set up for individual photos - this is an iconic step into military history, and should be considered as one lot.
