    Description

    Produced in 1897 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the reign of Queen Victoria, this tankard shaped porcelain mug is inscribed in an ornate flag draped panel on the front "To Commemorate the 60 years reign of Her Majesty Queen Victoria June 20, 1897" above a ribbon inscribed "Queen of an empire upon which the sun never sets."  The mug measures 3 1/4 in. tall by 3 1/4 in. wide at the base, tapering to 2 1/2 in. wide at the top rim.  It is in good condition with a small flea bite chip on the bottom edge and glaze crazing.
