I don't know if this 9 1/2 in. tall chalk ware owl figurine was originally intended to be a Halloween decoration, but his gaze is eerie enough to be one. I believe he dates from the 2nd quarter of the 20th century. Other than some wear on the base and surface flaking of the gloss black paint on his eyes and talons, he is in excellent, undamaged condition with no chips or cracks.
