    Vintage Mini 1947 California License Plate DAV Keyring Fob with Ball Chain
    From Car Collector's Estate in California
    This original 1947 mini California yellow/black license plate to be used as a keyring fob is in good vintage condition.  The backside does show wear.  Please see photo for detail.
    Under government contract, the Disabled American Veterans, DAV, sent these mini versions of real license plates to the registered owners.  Donations were accepted but not mandatory and the service included a way to recover lost keys.  Keys that were found could be placed in any US mailbox and they would be returned to their owner.
    This 1947 license #2C1316 measures 1 1/4" long x 1/2" wide.
