This original vintage 1969 photograph of a Wallaby
transport
aircraft was taken by my father when he arrived in Vietnam for a 1-year tour of duty as a US government advisor to the South Vietnamese military. The inscription on the back written
by my father Don Dietz
to my mother reads, "This is the Wallaby (C-5 Caribou) at Nui Dat. Notice they keep the engine running for a fast get away if necessary. I just got off this one." It is printed
on photo
paper, the color is slightly faded, the surface is nice and glossy and overall it is in good condition with no rips.
